Something seems off about unilaterally changing refund/credit options on bookings made previous to this rollout. I booked a couple of AC flights under their pre-existing flexibility policy a few months ago, under the presumption I could cancel back to an AC voucher with no expiry. If that wasn't the case, I likely would have been more cautious about making the bookings. Now, I'll effectively be left with a short-dated credit, or will have to pay a penalty to cancel. Brutal.
Asked their social media team about it, and they replied:
"The AC Travel Voucher product has been discontinued since June 5th, 2023. All future requests will not be taken into consideration. Existing travel vouchers remain valid until they're completely depleted. Regards".
sounds like a thinly disguised bait and switch.
