We've done a fair few flights with the yoyo and we've never been asked to check it. On the other hand, it's also never occurred to us to roll it down the aisle... There are enough people who only realize that their wheelies follow them slightly off-axis after they've bashed a few elbows; no need for me to contribute to more of that.
