I'd rather pay for roaming than use a Chinese VPN service. If my preferred services aren't working (vpn.ac or a SSH tunnel I'm hosting on an Amazon EC2 instance) then my dtac (higher usage) or Taiwan Mobile (lower usage) SIM is my next choice.
