To close this out, QF checked my bags through to LAS (and issued me the HA BP).

There was a bag drop open in T1 but not accepting HA bags. I walked them over to T2 to the US mainland bag drop - staffed queue that was short, but when I got to the front I didn’t need to show ID or have the bags rescanned, as soon as she saw the tags she just said I was good to go.

QF BP scanned fine on HA and bags delivered in LAS without any issues.
