Given our recent experience with pushchairs surrendered at the gate, now that we have a carry-on sized pushchair, I reckon I'll be a bit more (politely) insistent about keeping it with us in the future.

On one occasion, boarding an A350 with AY, the cabin crew insisted that we take our full-sized pushchair with us to J instead of checking it. I certainly felt awkward about it, but lo and behold, they were able to fold it and stow it in the coat closet, no problem. To this day, it's one of my stronger anecdotes.
