Perhaps, but I think unlikely ... AC's disgraceful record of consistently mediocre on time performance goes back long before the pandemic, when staffing was not a concern.

The only reason they get bums in their seats is because they have an effective monopoly in much of Canada. You fly on AC, or you drive - in a large number of markets, there is simply no alternative.
