Hi,

I have a friend that has a child that's now a toddler and she wants to give me her "very fancy" bassinet and we live in opposite areas of the country.

It's in a really big box and we estimated the cost to ship to be excessive ($169) so we thought she'd actually check the box on a flight to my house next week.

We saw the combined L x W x H rule of being less than 62", and I think we were 11 or 12 inches too big and that drives an even more excessive $200 over sized bag fee.

Other than changing the box to be < 62", does anyone have any pun intended "out of the box" ideas on how to get it on the plane for a regular checked bag?

I think it's a stretch to say the toddler traveling with my friend is using it
Not in military
It's not sports equipment

I can't find any areas to get around this. Any ideas?
