The area control centres are normally what cause ‘French ATC’ related delays. The reasons are anything to do with staffing levels, industrial action and yesterday the weather. The Reims centre seems to get inundated with delays and Brest can be a wicked mistress too, especially when thunder storms start sprouting.

In London the sectors 20/21/22 took a hammering from weather and that caused a lot of delays for anything headed towards Bognor Regis and Southampton from London airfields. Then there was the airspace around LHR which also got a bit fruity yesterday.

As for why ORL? Site of a great industrial French retreat. ‘Allez Les CGT’ *honk honk*. Otherwise I’m not sure tbh. I know CDG has more than one ATC tower, I believe ORL only has one iirc, so any impact proportionately is often greater.
Reims? - my nephew works there. He says that the equipment with which they have to work is far inferior to that which UK ATC have so that may be a factor as well.

Thank you so much for taking the time and patience to explain that to us all where would one find Sectors 20/21/22? Is it shown on FlightRadar24?
