Anybody every gone trough the process of getting a fraudulent gift card replaced? Purchased a scam vanilla serviced by Incomm at Walmart on 6/8. Called right away and told I would get a replacement within 25-30 business days. Noticed today that I was refunded back to my credit card for the balance plus activation fee. I didn't ask either Walmart or my card issuer for a refund so I'm a little confused. It shows as a refund from Walmart. Did the store proactively refund me? I did bring bring the scam gift cards to their attention after the fact but never processed or asked for a refund.
No one here knows the answer to your situation, but if I had to guess, there was a problem with the activation and the register proactively refunded you. If you have the receipt for the purchase, see if the GC activation was "approved" (or whatever word they use is).
