I called IHG CS, the agent I talked to said she would call the hotel and get back to me.
She never did.
I wrote a review in which I complained about it, the manager replied in an e-mail.
"I am sorry that the benefits were not described to you correctly"
"If you choose the points, you do not receive the breakfast."
Grrrr!
So, here's a hotel that denies you the free breakfast and instead give you the points
against your will, and later claim that was your choice.
Not so easy to prove unless you've made a recording, maybe that is what one should do routinely.
I have written to IHG CS but they have not replied.
Perhaps they were fresh out of fava beans and knew you'd be disappointed with the breakfast. 🤪
