Yes, I have seen this as well. Last time I had an extended visit and tried both the Champagne they were serving as well as the Prosecco. Turned out I liked that Prosecco much better. It has been a while, so don't recall the brands of either.
Generally what I have seen for the Champagne to Prosecco "spectrum" is Lanson, Charles de Fere (Blanc de Blancs), and
La Marca Bollicini. When I ordered a Campari spritz, they used the
La Marca Bollicini, which is consistent with the mimosa report above.
