On an S22 I went Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Airalo JP > More Information. The Service provider is listed as Airalo, but this eSIM profile is currently disabled since I'm in the US.
On the Pixel it's Settings -> Network and Internet -> SIMs -> Select the relevant SIM and then scroll down. The SIM will need to be enabled - you should be able to do that fine even if you're not in coverage area (ie, it doesn't actually need to conncet to the network - just have the SIM active)
