That seems like a strange policy. I am waitlisted for a SWU next week that seems unlikely to clear. Meanwhile, PE looks extremely open and I would probably bite on a decent offer. Odd that they make us pick one or the other.
It's almost certainly an IT limitation. That's the explanation for many AA "policies."
