Yes extraordinary circumstances is the wording used to say "we are not planning on paying EC261 for this incident" and that usually means it is weather related. I would still apply from easyJet, there has been some bad weather but that finished hours ago. Airlines often jump on extraordinary circumstances a bit too quickly so I would want easyJet to stack up their case better than that.
