I stayed at Amankila and Mandapa last year (3 nights at Mandapa). I stayed at Amandari several years ago and also visited on my stay last year for tea. I also highly enjoyed my stay at Mandapa in a river view villa. The Mandapa would be my choice over Amandari. The spa is much better and although it is a larger resort, it didn't feel crowded at all when we were there. I would definitely book through an agent.
