Gate checked pushchair lost
Well, it finally happened. We flew LHR-CDG yesterday, and our gate checked pushchair didn't come out the other end.
While it of course happens, and for all sorts of reasons, my unfounded suspicion is that this has got something to do with the fairly... unseasoned check-in agent at The First Wing, who - between struggling with a temperamental printer, and painstakingly filling in by pen a "bring to gate" tag for the pushchair, before announcing that actually CDG doesn't do that - printed four bag tags instead of three (for 2 pcs + pushchair). I didn't follow closely, but I have a sinking feeling she gave us the receipt for the tag she ended up binning.
At CDG, the chap at the bag query said he "couldn't see anything" on the computer about our pushchair, and then said surprisingly confidently that the pushchair will arrive at 1pm the next day.
On the off chance that this timeline is more fluid than that, is it reasonable for us to buy another pushchair in Paris and ask BA to reimburse us?
