Just flew Fiji Airways a week ago using AA miles, Brisbane to Nadi in Y connecting to Nadi-Vancouver in J - never again, very poor business class experience. Food was poor for J and service was meh - no beverages served before or during breakfast, only after, hot cabin.

Anyway, back on OP topic, seats were available on-line for free selection on Y leg months prior to flight but would not save, called in to to get seats reserved at no charge 2 months prior to flight. When OLCI opened our seats had not been saved and we were right at the very back, selected new seats, only to find at the airport that we were stuck at the back still - their IT is garbage, so even if you do manage to select seats don’t count on getting them on the day you fly.
