There again, if we wish to adopt Malaysian orthodoxy we should refer to the city and federal territory in its concatenated form: Putrajaya. Which I suppose makes my idiosyncracy even more egregious.

Yes, they certainly planned to conjoin the two stations, but I guess costs defeated that ambition. I'm told the interchange between the two will (eventually) be facilitated, and I took that to mean easier pedestrian transit between the MRT and the LRT exit on the north side of Jl Ampang, rather than a revamp and extension of the elevated walkway leading to the Intermark.

But then I look at the clunky interchange between LRT, MRT and monorail at Sentral.

All in all the IC and other businesses in the area and across the wider network will benefit from the new line.
