Thanks for the suggestion. It might help long term, but not short term. There are no assurances that low usage of the Business Blue Card was the reason. Ironically, the Blue Cash Plus never came with an SUB. I most likely will have to hope for the best but expect the worst; my expectations are now tempered but I will still try working with AMEX.
I don’t have hard evidence but the preponderance of data points suggests that Amex recently became very tight with the SUB, perhaps around the time of the SVB meltdown. It seems very few people who already have cards are getting a bonus, at least on the personal side. I’m in jail for pretty much all the personal cards, but Amex keeps sending me targeted, elevated offers for business cards and other business products.
