Are Sheratons Club Lounges no longer required?
I stayed at the Sheraton Boston a few months ago and the Club Lounge was closed and no additional compensation was offered. I figured it was just an anomaly.
Then, I stayed recently at the Sheraton Palo Alto and they didn't have a club lounge. They didn't say it was closed or being remodeled - just that they didn't have one.
When Sheraton was part of Starwood, they were mandated to have lounges as brand standard. It's a big reason why I'll often choose to stay at Sheraton.
Are lounges no longer required at Sheraton? And if so is Marriott the only remaining Marriott brand where a Club Lounge is guaranteed?
