I had a prepaid reservation through my company and checked out, but the stay didn't give me any EQN or points.

I thought that the only thing that mattered was who is staying in the hotel and whose membership number is attached to the reservation, hence how all those consultants rack up 100+ nights on the company dime.

But the hotel told me that since I personally did not pay for it and my company did, I don't get any EQN. Is this right? I know that the membership number was attached because they honored all Glob benefits.
