There is a promotion on buying points from Marriott, so those 21k points would cost nowhere near $262.

I guess people have different ideas about the value of their time, that of their friends / acquaintances and the value of their other transferable currencies.

But for slightly less than $200, I just buy the points and happily confirm the award bookings before tbey're gone or dynamic priced upwards...
