I am relatively new to learning about the My Offer upgrades so I searched and read a ton of the posts on this thread. Great info for sure. My husband (Gold with United) and I are traveling from economy LAX to KRK in December via Munich. We purchased our tickets on united so even though we are flying LH metal the ticket starts with 016 (codeshare) which I understand is not eligible for the My offer upgrade bidding and explains why when I look up our reservation on LH that option is not there. I saw some notes regarding calling United to see if they would change the ticket number to 022 so that we would be able to do the bid to upgrade.But before I do that I wanted to see if anyone could answer a few questions for me:
1. Is the bid to upgrade only available for certain fare classes? Ours was booked in K.
2. If we call united and they switch the ticket to 022's, will my husband still get the same PQPs (as he's thinking he may have a hard time making gold again for next year due to the increased spend requirements).
3. If a My bid offer is accepted, are you only given the original PQP amount or is any of your accepted bid amount included?
