Last summer, I tried to update a ticket to PE, then PE to J. The J upgrade never stuck despite being charged (twice, for two attempts!)

A few days ago, I had a booking in economy (V fare) for two, paid $760 for the upgrade and then today the upgrade disappeared from the app and online site.

I want to like Swiss, but damn this is frustrating.
Booked my ticket originally through Lufthansa’s own page. Did the upgrade on Swiss’s original webpage. Don’t remember the original booking code though. Now I have a similar case as when I started the thread. I’m flying NRT-ZRH tomorrow. Did an upgrade, screened the confirmation and got the confirmation. Everything disappeared from my booking the day after. Called in to customer support, the (once again seem surprised) and I got the same reply as last time. The system knows you made an upgrade, insist it to the check in staff. If the flight is overbooked then you can ask for a refund from the Swiss customer support. Frustrating. The customer support lacks manageable skills in English and do not forward any feedback, for either the IT system or service. Hopefully I can get in touch soon with someone in charge who knows English well, so the IT system can be updated. Before, upgrades worked well.
