It might be more time efficient to go by Eurostar, city center to city center, than deal with airport security and possible weather delays in December. Plus, IME, it is easier to stash a bag in train station for the day than in an airport. Paris is closest, but I'd go for Brussels. Smaller, more walkable, and a Christmas market on all through December. Have a nice day in Brussels, get the evening nonstop to ZRH to be ready for your next flight.
