My original flight was scheduled to leave at 11:30 am. The flight was canceled, and I was rebooked on a 1 pm flight, as a result of which I will miss an important business meeting. I can get an earlier flight, around 11 am, on another airline. I called AA and asked for a refund. The agent said that I am only eligible for a refund if the schedule change is more than four hours. Four hours seems excessive and inconsiderate for people who have tight business schedules to meet.

Is the agent correct? What are my options?
