Stayed for 1 night at the beginning of my trip to Peru. Excellent area, felt very safe even walking after dark (but be cautious as you would in any big city). Wonderful breakfast spread with excellent choices. However, I would NOT stay here again. No early check-in (without payment). An "upgrade" to a higher floor room without a view and attitude of the front desk manager are a dealbreaker for me. No amenity even as a diamond. I stayed at the Hampton in San Isidro twice (1 night stays each time) and treated like royalty both times with late checkout of 6pm during the second stay. Granted there is a lot to do in Miraflores but San Isidro is a short and cheap taxi/Uber drive away. See my review under the Peru master thread.
