We stayed at the hotel many years ago. I wrote to the hotel a few days in advance, referencing the prior stay and saying that my husband needs to do several hours of business a day no matter where he is in the world so would be very appreciative of the x0010 suite. They kindly agreed to upgrade us to it, making clear that it was beyond a normal upgrade, but would do so as we were returning guests. We were well content with the suite, finding it very comfortable.
I dislike the elevator set up where to go to and from the guest rooms, we had to go up to the 23rd or 24th floors and then go to the ground level. The Park Hyat Busan had their elevators set much more conveniently. We could go to and from our guest room from the ground floor at the PH Busan, skipping the upper level cross over.
Re food, we found breakfast indifferent to poor. They had a good selection of fresh fruit and sliced meats and cheeses. Otherwise, cooked food was remarkably bad and baked goods mediocre. I felt that the Korean meals available in the lounge were well prepared but not to our taste. We found the Timber house on the lower level to have good Japanese food. It had a substantial early bird discount between 5:30 and 7. We went to the Kappo Akii restaurant suggested in the Glad hotel, there before it opened at 5:30pm. It turned out they were fully booked and we were turned away. I became obsessed with bingsu, a desert rather than shave ice, on the trip. The Lounge offered several varieties. We went at 9:30pm on a week night and found the lounge closed at 9pm. What a disappointment.
We received a small box of chocolates and two oranges in the room as globalists.
English language skills were excellent, much better than Park Hyatt Busan, and service was very good. I was pleased with my decision to stay here given the comfort of our suite and the intimacy of the property.
This was a converted office building so not much they could do with the elevators and cramped ground floor/lobby spaces.
This is probably the poorest PH breakfast in all of Asia and maybe the entire PH family.
Try the Bingsu at Grand Parnas Intercontinental across the street. Their lounge closes a lot later than PH's.
