Some complaints about the build quality and apparently the Q30 provides a cable to use wired with IFE but ANC and EQ features don't work in wired mode.

You apparently have to get the step up model Q35, which is $20 more at Amazon.

But they provide a wire with a 3.5 mm jack so you'd have to supply one of the 2-prong to 3.5 mm adapter to work with certain IFE such as UA Polaris. Has anyone tried this combo?

The headsets they provide you in those Polaris pods have no NC at all.

I actually own the Q30. I believe the ANC with the 3.5 jack got disabled after they did a firmware update. I’ve never run the update but I can test later with my table radio.

I’ve never had an issue with quality. It’s about what I expect for $100CDN, which is what I paid in December 2020. Maybe it’s not at Sony levels, but it doesn’t necessarily feel cheap. Can’t speak to the Q45.
