Thanks for the headsup about advance online checkin. My last IC stay as a Diamond Ambassador I almost did that, but decided I would wait until arrival to see if I could get any other elite benefits. Sure enough, I went from a one category upgrade that was assigned before arrival to a two-category upgrade without asking for anything. I was also able to choose the free breakfast vs points. Will have to remember to avoid online checkin in the future, as breakfast for two in a major city is worth far more than a few hundred points.
