I think this has to do with some Regency Suites having terraces + balcony, versus others only having a balcony.
Some Standard Suites are at the front of the building on the 8th floor, with a large terrace and balcony and a (very) obstructed sea view. These are the nicest in my opinion.
Other suites have bedrooms with view on the city (back of the building) and don’t have such large terraces. Unsure whether this is the “large” or “small” type, but definitely ask for one with the large terrace if you have the opportunity.

And for me (definitely if travelling solo but probably also as a couple without children) I would prefer a Sea View or even better a Deluxe room. Ideally on the 9th floor (like the one I had last week). Slightly smaller but so much better views.
If you manage to get one of the Prestige Sea View or the Panoramic suite it’s another story…😁
