I'd get club access as a globalist so would rather not have a room at the furthest point from the club.
I believe they are (mostly) located on the ground floor of the Poipu wing, which is the same side as the club. Another drawback is that many just look into landscaping with no view of the ocean or grounds (resort) overall. The lack of a view is why I haven't used a suite upgrade in the past.
