UA International Reservations can also be reached at the following number in the U.S. (+1, or 001) 312 364 1989. You can call this number and ask to be transferred to the 1K desk.

Mileage Plus can be contacted in the U.S. at (+1 or 001) 605 348 0011. (Note that the greeting on this number indicates "Password Support", but it is published as "Mileage Plus Customer Service".)

Both of these numbers are published and widely available.


As an aside, at many RCC's one can pick up the telephone and press the 1K or 1P buttons and observe the actual number being dialled. I verfied this recently at BOS and ORD.
