PHL flight cancellations
Hi all,
Looking for advice; with the BA LHR - PHL flights cancelled in mid-June both myself and my mum were effected. My alternative requires getting up ungodly early with a 3yo but still traveling the same day. My mum however was booked first using avios which causes issues as no first cabin in AA
She initially selected the only flights they offered which were five days later than original travel date, then I suggested she call up and got these moved to NYC on the original date which she did but had been downgraded to club. It turns out that they charged her a fee for this and took more miles (I know this as we have a linked household account).
Question: is it likely they BA will do anything if I call up or just not worth trying? It's minimal points and cash in the grand scheme of things but seems like now of the same race to the bottom customer service I'm coming to expect from BA as GCH.
