Stating some facts. If BA hasn't performed for you, then that's fair, but if you take 100 people I bet 70 of these will say they are generally happy with their BA experience - please remember most people only come online to moan/complain as they have something to moan about, so it skews people's opinions towards "everyone is obviously unhappy with BA as you can see here!". Magnified on a BA forum of course.

I've flown BA CE and J about 10 times since November. I'd say I was unhappy with 2 of those flights (old F on the A380 and CE back from HAM where there were bag issues), but other than that 8 flights met or exceeded my expectations. Not 'unfathomable' at all.

I've flown AA domestic F and 'Main Cabin' and every-single-flight (ie. 5/5) was unacceptable or below expectations for various reasons. ie. worse than BA. Maybe that's our 'British way' but I felt everything was poor, from pre-paying for a seat on an overbooked flight, to how they upgrade standbys, to how everyone in the US ignores the group call and rushes to board, to the quality of food, to the lack of drink top ups, to crew disappearing for ages to my bag being removed twice from the locker to make room for a huge cabin bag. None of that happens in BA CE for me. It was consistent in AA.
