Recently had a good experience using the cell phone protection benefit (we have T-Mobile and pay the bill with the VX). I accidentally dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen and don't have Apple Care. Took it to the Apple Store the next day and they ran diagnostics before the screen swap and found the wireless charging had some issues and recommended a full replacement of the phone.
I paid out of pocket for the replacement. Took that receipt and the diagnostic report and uploaded it to the Card Benefit Services website. Within 3 days I had a response saying my claim was approved. The full reimbursement (minus the $50 deductible) was in my account the next day.
