Diamond Ambassador - IC Chicago, on check in given two vouchers for each day one for DH and one for me. Also a covering letter explaining we could have an item from the a la carte plus unlimited non alcoholic drinks or the buffet and drinks. Day 1 (it was a holiday weekend) the buffet was a zoo being trashed by uncontrolled young ones, so we ordered a la carte (one dish each, juice and coffee). Before the bill came, the server alleged we had exceed the allowance and a charge was payable. Pointed out the letter, he said the letter was wrong however (grand gesture...I will wave it so you have nothing to pay). We never saw a bill so cannot verify if we had exceeded any limit but the cynic in me says he was working the room to get tips as I saw two others have the same issue.

Second day as we wanted a quick breakfast and it was quieter, we went for the buffet. No bill was presented.

There were no additional charges on the final bill
