Don't forget that you're talking about EWR. A few months ago, my sister was flying in from Boston and connecting with me at EWR. I tried to get her a companion U/G at the ticket counter and was told the same thing. I went to the P Club and one of the agents put her on the list for me. Remember with CO....Try, try again.
