No excuses. Delta is cheap. They won’t and haven’t change. The only change has been, as noted by others, a decrease in quality since the pandemic which I did not think was possible.
I guess if DL isn't seeing that they're getting lower yields for D1, or their LFs are dropping for paid D1...then do they really have an incentive to amp up their offerings?
