No hotel is going to make you change rooms unless you book different room categories.
With "dynamic pricing" you cannot just hold room inventory and the rate that was prevalent at the time of booking.
Often do this, however I then get hotels merging them!
I often do this if I am not sure if I need the last night or if rates change on one night for example.
