At checkin was given the premium river view for both nights. Didn’t even bring it up that I was previously assigned a junior suite as I was content to use one suite night and get a better room for both nights. Some would disagree I’m sure and if I was paying the 1600 a night I would have brought it to their attention.

Was assigned room 224. River view was certainly better than no view and room was sizable especially after coming from a base room in St Regis Venice. A higher floor would have been preferable for a better view but no street noise on 2nd floor, which is the 3rd floor by US norms.

Overall excellent service, great breakfast, nice bar vibes, and quality butler interactions. Only negative I would say is while the rooms are well maintained, they are due for a rehab sooner than later. Hope this helps.
Very helpful indeed, thank you! I can see your logic even though you could've potentially insisted on taking the junior suite and speculating that the hotel wouldn't 'force' you to move? Or did the junior suite not have a river view? At this property, does it make sense to sacrifice a suite over the river view?

Thanks!
