And not in 30 days as per the more recent post from the OP; full refunds need to happen ASAP, plus reimbursement of all incidentals, and additional compensation amount for each pax in good faith.
This thread reminds of my own horrific experience with United a few years ago. To its credit, UA did send proactive compensation notification. We diverted, and by the time everything got sorted out, the only available accomodation was cots in the airport
