No, you're probably just screwed. I am PC as well; three bookings in the past year, and each time got 'upgraded' to a van/pickup/giant SUV. Went to the counter each time; that's all that was available.

Eventually, I was told that status just lets them 'upgrade' you to the unwanted gas guzzlers/oddball vehicles nobody else wants, while the sedans go to the lower/no status people who reserved them and weren't eligible for an 'upgrade'.

If you really want a sedan, have a backup reservation at some other agency.
