That is extremely harsh IMO - he did what anyone would do under such circumstances. No matter/ What she will have to go to the police and get a report. For preference she needs to be there as they open as they fill up quickly and she will have to be patient as they can be extremely dismissive and off handed.

This is too late for your friend (I wonder if she ever reads this she will remain your friend - you might have difficulty maintaining a cordial relationship with her sone either), but anyone going to any BA destination where this sort of crime is rife ( Madrid, and Rome come immediately to mind) but she should never use one of those pouch things that make you look like a pregnant kangaroo. They can get into those before you can say "Gin & Slim" - that is how they earn their living. I use a sort of shoulder bag which I wear around my neck and across my front and I never carry more than I can afford to have stolen. Keep your passport in your hotel safe and go our with a driving licence or a photo copy of the passport. Your friend kept her stuff on her phone (clearly that was not in her bag) so she is not as dizzy a mare as all that is she?

Lastly - what I have learned from the boys and girls here - invest in Air Tags and hide one in your handbag/man bag.
