By "Did charges", are you referring to DiDi rides paid with AliPay?

Didi accepts foreign card and has been this way for years. I never had any issue, even before the pandemic. The charge comes in RMB and my bank converts it into USD. Didi was my savior in China - they were the most easiest to use and accepts foreign cards. Is there any advantage of paying DiDi through AliPay?
