I gave my name and required time to check in and when I checked out, they pointed me in the direction of a chap who was waiting. He was with “executive chauffeur cars” and it was £25 to T3, plus the drop-off fee that the airports have taken to charging (which ought to be criminal, but isn’t). Nice car and a personable driver.
Definitely the better option, especially for several people, at stupid o’ clock. One bus would have been OK if it existed. I am slumming it in the back of the plane after all (no upgrades offered) but the #1 lounge is quite nice (better than T5 club last week) and the lady at the entrance allowed me to use Priority Pass (me plus one free guest) and DragonPass (only me) for 3 pax without making me pay a fee. I thought I was going to have to pay the Dragon Pass guest fee (I avoid fees on the PriorityPass because it’s linked to an Amex that expired 10 years ago, but they keep renewing the card).
