To get the $200 credit, the name on the card must be the same as on reservation. Checking out is not relevant, as this is prepaid reservation. The scenario with card the holder not being able to stay is actually quite common and was discussed many times in this thread. One idea was to open the additional Platinum card in your name just for the purpose of this benefit. If you don't want to keep the additional card ($175), it can be cancelled within 30 days with the fee getting refunded.
