I looked at the first full week of December and the schedule is three flights per day, all are A319 aircraft.

GoGo is only on United Express aircraft. It is not used on any mainline aircraft which, of course, is what would be going transatlantic.

Thales works only over the CONUS.

ViaSat has expended coverage in the Caribbean, north Pacific, and expanded north/south coverage in the Americas. They recently launched another satellite which will expand coverage when it goes online and two more launches are planned this year and next. For now, only the 737 MAX and select 737 NG aircraft have ViaSat.

This site shows the coverage maps for each provider and which airplanes have each system. https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...rage-maps.html

Wifi is an "inflight" purchase, even if you purchase it on your computer from home. You'll still get the 25% credit back to your bill.
