Aer Lingus experience
In all the years and millions of miles I have now had the worst airline experience with Aer Lingus, Horrible is the best word I can. From the time we boarded in Settle to the landing at CDG it was one mismanagement after another. The crew going across was more interested in talking among themselves then attending to the passengers ( Business) food was marginal their "in flight snacks" were a joke, consisting of a few candy bars and other cheap treats. Seats were well used they along with the entire cabin sorely in need of a refresh best usage of the blanket was to place it under you cushioning the otherwise lame seats. Changing planes in Dublin was the worst upon worst management of airline operations I have ever witnessed first hand. First the walk from the international arrival gates to the Schengen was one of if not the lowest walk with no visible means of carts etc then you have to take a bus to the out lying gates, once there you find out that your plane is 2 hours late ( Not shown in the main terminal areas) The area is packed with passengers I mean packed, when it came time for us to board they simply open the gate causing a rush to the ticket check, then only to find we had to wait 25 minutes on the ramp for the plane to be serviced really? Then on the plane an interesting announcement was made by the FA informing us that nothing is provided on the flight and nothing is free not even water. To boot the seat pockets were sealed shut go figure that one, I am surprised they didn't charge for the bathrooms.
Needless to say we canceled our return trip and flew BA Premium Coach much more civilized, cleaner comfortable seats and even for BA edible food. Aer Lingus is attempting to be an alternative to LHR/CDG in flying back and forth to that they are failing miserably making the old saying "you only get what you pay for" so true.
