I get the 25% credit for advance purchase also.
Domestic legs will be $8 before discount
Transoceanic will be in the mid-$20 before discount
RT with domestic leg will run in the high $60 range before discount -- roughly the same as the monthly global.subscription
If you have other UA flights in the 30 day period, get the subscription.
If you don't, then pay individually, easier to get a refund if wifi has issues
Presently transoceanic wifi will be Panasonic, which is moderate bandwidth (with occasional issues) -- it is fine for email, basic web surfing, ... it is not great for large file transfers or links to workplace tools or streaming. That's coming but not 2023.
